Spine & Joint Clinic is a Super Speciality Orthopaedic Clinic established in Surat in 2010 by two young and dynamic Orthopaedic Surgeons - Dr. Dhruvin Patel and Dr. Sanket Diwanji. Spine & Joint Clinic is a leading provider of comprehensive care for various Spine, Hip and Knee related problems.

Dr. Dhruvin Patel, started his practice in Surat as a first consultant spine surgeon in South Gujarat region in 2007. After post-graduation in orthopaedics from Gujarat University in 2001, he gained further experience in general orthopaedics for three years before starting training in the field of spine surgery. He gained extensive experience in spine surgery training from Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, New Delhi and then from Mumbai. He finetuned his expertise in spine surgery by attending various courses and symposia at India and Abroad.

Dr. Dhruvin Patel's area of expertise in spine surgery includes gamuts of pathology in spine field, including degenerative pathology of lumbar and cervical spine, as well as major adult and pediatric spine deformities like scoliosis and kyphosis, all kinds of osteoporotic vertebral fractures in geriatrics. But his most skilled expertise includes minimally invasive spine surgery, esp endoscopic spine surgery which treats common lumbar spine problems like disc herniation and lumbar nerve compression. His expertise in endoscopic spine surgery includes various endoscopic spine procedures under general as well as local anesthesia for stitchless spine procedures under day care.

Dr. Sanket Diwanji Dr. Sanket Diwanji M.S. (Ortho) - Consultant Hip & Knee Joint Surgeon

Dr. Sanket Diwanji started his practice in Surat as a first overseas fellowship trained joint replacement surgeon of South Gujarat. After completing orthopaedic residency from M S University of Baroda, he did joint reconstruction fellowships in South Korea, Australia and Canada. His areas of expertise includes, primary and revision hip and knee replacements, computer assisted knee replacement and partial knee replacements. He has done highest number of computer assisted TKRs in South Gujarat in last five years.

Dr. Diwanji did his medical graduation and post-graduate training in orthopaedic surgery from Medical College, Baroda affiliated to M S University of Baroda. He started his joint replacement training as a clinical assistant at Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai. Then he did dedicated hip surgery fellowship at Chonnam National University Hospital, Gwang Ju, South Korea. This was followed by knee surgery fellowship at Melbourne with Dr. John Bartlett. Then he went to Canada for fellowship in hip and knee reconstruction at Toronto Western Hospital, Toronto and Hospital Maisonneuve-Rosemont, Montreal, where he got extensive experience in revision joint replacement and computer assisted knee replacement surgery.
